A large majority of us have heard of Geisha House and Kress, but what really puzzles us is the fact that hardly anybody talks or even knows about a little American Pub located across the street from these two LA Hotspots. Maybe it’s the fact that not everyone is a foody like us, but nevertheless that is why we do what we do: to open people’s eyes and appetites towards places like this!
Lucky Devil’s provides an awesome pub like atmosphere with its great food AND drink offerings. For the beer fanatics: they offer St. Bernardus Abt 12, Old Rasputin, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, and Chimay…ALL ON DRAFT! And that’s not even ¼ of the stuff they have to offer, just some of our absolute favorites. They also have several wines for the more mellow folk.
Maybe you’re thinking: “OK so they have awesome drinks, that doesn’t mean their food is any good.” Well, if you are thinking that, then quickly retract that thought because the food is absolutely de-li-cious! We started off with the Kobe Diablo Sliders, Kobe Chili Cheese Fries and the Mac n 4 cheese. After devouring them, we were eager to taste more of what the place had to offer, so we moved on to our main courses. We got a few burgers to try the kobe patties (also had a choice of tallgrass fed beef or turkey patty), which is what the establishment boasts about, the pulled pork sandwich and a char grilled pizza (just to have some diversity).
The result? The kobe burgers definitely lived up to the expectations, the pulled pork sandwich was loaded with smoky bbq flavor and the chargrilled pizza DEF surprised us as it was one of the table’s favorite items.
You didn’t think we’d stop there did you? How could we leave without trying the house favorite, freshly made to order Leige Sundae Desert! This magnificent creation takes 5-10 mintues to make because the waffle is freshly made upon order, but man o man is it worth the wait! With toppings like vanilla frozen custard, salted chimay beer caramel, and….well, we’ll just let the pictures do the talking for the rest.
